The Brazilian Sérgio Guimarães, 68, father and grandfather, has a PhD, with honors, in Psychology released in 2017 from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with the thesis "Origin and development of psychodrama as a method of psychosocial change". Lecturer and collaborator in the postgraduate course in Psychodrama of the UBA Faculty of Psychology, Sergio was awarded the Zerka T. Moreno prize in the year 2018, assigned to him by the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP).
Sérgio produced and directed eighty-one films for his YouTube channel, in particular on psychodrama, of which twenty-three with Zerka T. Moreno and others with materials produced by JL Moreno himself.
Besides being a psychodramatist, Sergio is also a teacher of sociopsychodrama, having been trained in the role by Zerka Moreno herself. In the field of educational sciences he is co-author of six books written together with Brazilian educator Paulo Freire.
