Pina Deiana, psychologist and psychotherapist, from Sardinia. After many years working with the Italian Council for Refugees and other NGOs in Italy and abroad, in 2013 she joined Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF – doctors without borders). Since then she worked in many places in the world where MSF provides medical and mental health care to populations who don’t have access to it. She has been in Nord Kivu (DRC), in Italy (Sicily) in the first reception center for migrants just landed from Mediterranean Sea, in Indonesia with Rohingya refugees, in Nauru where refugees are stuck for around six years, in Iraq with internal displaced people, in different places in Greece (Thessaloniki, Athens, Lesbos). Her function in the MSF missions is manager of the MH department at field level.
