She was graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Psychology in 1985. She received her masters degree from the same department and PhD degree from Ankara University both in Clinical Psychology. 

She had worked in Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University, Bayındır and Başkent Hospitals at different times for years. She has been performing her profession in private practice as a psychotherapist and psychodramatist in her own center which she founded in 2003.

Yeşim Türköz had been trained in cognitive psychotherapy, gestalt psychotherapy, family therapy and group psychotherapy on theory and practice over years. She has been graduated from theoretical and experiential training program of psychodrama and sociometry at the end of the course of ten years education. She had completed fundamental level of psychodrama training in Abdulkadir Ozbek Institute, advanced level and trainers training level was in Istanbul Psychodrama Institute both of which are FEPTO accredited institutes in Turkey. She is a certified psychodrama therapist and trainer practicing in corporation with Istanbul Psychodrama Institute.

She explored neuropsychological aspects of early attachment patterns in her  academic studies and interested in adulthood healing of insecure attachment wounds especially on psychodrama stage as a secure base.

By writing books especially inspiring from psychodrama techniques, she became the author of four books namely, Büyü Dükkanı (Magic Shop), "İç Dünya Oyunları” (Inner Games), Büyü Dükkanı’nda İki Çınar (Two Planes in Magic Shop) and İçeride Oyun Var (There is a Game Inside) (Publisher: Epsilon Yayınları).
