“Love Atom” as a Cultural Atom in Psychodrama: “A Role Analysis”
Moreno’s unique genius has given us the “Psychodrama Group Psychotherapy and Sociometry System” as a great gift. This system is crowned by “theory of role” and “sociometry theory”. Also the “spontaneity theory of child development” adds a deep understanding. Understanding the role within this system has a particular importance.
Moreno sad that : “Every individual, just as he is the focus of numerous attractions and repulsions appears, also, as the focus of numerous roles which are related to the roles of other individuals. Every individual, just as he has at all times a set of friends and a set of enemies, also has a range of roles and faces, a range of counter-roles. They are in various stages of development. The tangable aspects of what is known as “ego” are the roles in which he operates. The pattern of role-relations around an individual as their focus, is called his cultural atom,”(Moreno, 1940)
According to us and many experts, “love” is an experience that offers a deep opportunity for people to recognize themselves in life.
As in all roles, the role of lover is also the subject of different role conflicts like; conflicts in roles, conflicts between roles, conflicts in personality and interpersonal conflicts. Therefore, the analysis of the role of lover is of particular importance in one’s life in psychodrama. It offers a strong opportunity for a person’s role discoveries. In this workshop we will embark on a discovery journey to the role of lover.
