The power of Moreno’s Triadic System of Sociometry, Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy
This workshop will demonstrate the power of Moreno’s Triadic System of Sociometry, Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy. Sociometry is the glue that holds the group together. It establishes the link between individuals in the group setting, creating safety and developing an atmosphere that promotes spontaneity and creativity. It builds a framework to hold the intensity of Psychodramatic action. Psychodrama is the healing agent through which group participants tell the stories of their sociometric wounds, express their feelings, work through their issues, discover their humanity and find new solutions for coping with today’s social and cultural challenges. Group Psychotherapy promotes cognitive integration and the reconfiguration of our intrapsychic roles and interpersonal connections. This triadic system allows people to address the challenges of living in a world where technology can stand in the way of spontaneity and creativity, not allowing us to become fully human. Through action and didactic presentation participants will have opportunities to learn about and experience this creative and multi-layered process.
